Die cutting is an essential manufacturing process for a wide range of product applications. It offers precision, process flexibility, low cost set up, and is ideally suited for both low and high volume production. As experts in the manufacturing of parts composed of rubber compounds, at Girard Rubber, die cutting is one of our core competencies. Our facility is equipped with digital, flatbed, punch presses, rotary, and steel rule die cutting equipment. These systems provide a high level of process flexibility and are augmented by a wide range of secondary and supporting services. Together, these services are designed to streamline our customer’s supply chain and provide a complete end to end solution. This begins with our engineering team who can provide up-front design support; we can also facilitate clean room production, slitting, perforating, and printing as well as lamination combining rubber, plastic, adhesives, and foil. Other production options include our offshore resources in Japan, Taiwan, and China that in certain circumstances can provide a lower cost production option. This diversity of process capabilities and production resources means that we can develop a manufacturing strategy that best aligns with the customer requirements, while maximizing efficiency, decreasing cost, and ensuring the best quality possible.
As a quality centric, Lean enterprise, our staff, facility, and offshore partners are dedicated to the principals of Lean and Agile manufacturing. We hold ISO 9001:2015 certification, and utilize a robust quality program that is the framework for our manufacturing operations. This allows us to easily provide full compliance with a wide range of industry standards and facilitates a level of production flexibility that can accommodate everything from a short run or prototype, up to large scale blanket orders that span many months or more.
